Public healthcare data, joined
Follow American healthcare from the clinician to the dollar.
Who provides care, who owns it, who pays, what it costs and what was paid, from CMS, hospitals, insurers, the IRS and the states, connected by the identifiers they publish. Every fact links back to its source.

How it fits together
Joined on the identifiers the sources publish
Records are linked only where a source states the link: an enrollment that lists a CCN, a reassignment to a group, an owner file entry. Identifiers are shown in full, because they are public and they are how you check a fact against its source. How the data model works →
Every fact names its source
Publisher, file, retrieval date and digest sit next to the value, with the period, unit and payment basis.
Matches are labeled leads
Name, address and phone matches are kept apart on a Possible matches tab, never merged into a record.
Missing is not zero
Suppressed cells, unloaded sources and coverage gaps are stated, not shown as nothing. Prices are not payments.
One page per thing
Everything about a clinician or facility, on its own tabs
Who owns it, where they practice, prices, payments, records and events: each tab answers one question and shows only what a source states.

Where it comes from
National bulk releases, kept as published
